Cape Columbine, about an hour and half's drive from Cape Town is one of the last manned lighthouses built on the South African Coast. The lighthouse got his name from the Columbine that was wrecked there in 1829. Guarding the treacherous Atlantic coastline of South Africa, it is a beacon and surrounded by a breathtaking nature reserve.
It is close to Langebaan, Paternoster and other West Coast tourist hubs.
